Queen City Tango Mini Lesson & Milonga at Salsalina Dance Studio, Burlington , VT 7:30-10:00 p.m. Come and celebrate the weekend in a studio dedicated to Tango! Practice your skills and expression dancing to music that inspired performers and dancers from the 1920s through the 1970s. Enjoy our weekly gathering -- dancers at all levels are welcome, no partner necessary. $5 per person. Good music, good company, good dancing. 7:30-8:00 introductory coaching for beginners, warm-ups and information exchange for experienced dancers. 8-10 pm Open Dancing for all levels.

Queen City Tango hosts Milonga Cumpleaños del invierno (Winter Birthdays Milonga) at Shelburne Town Hall
Workshops at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. with guest instructor Gerd Hirschmann, $15 per person each workshop, or both workshops for $25 per person. Milonga 8 p.m. – midnight, $8 per person or $5 with any workshop.
2:00 – 3:30 Workshop I: Fundamentals for leaders and followers (providing essentials for novices through advanced beginners; strengthening technique for intermediate and experienced dancers)
4:00 – 5:30 Workshop II: Molinette interpretations with special focus on technique for followers, and what leaders can do to support and inspire. (Intermediate and experienced dancers)
8:00 – midnight Milonga: tango social dance for all levels. Light refreshments.
Guest Instructor Gerd Hirschmann started dancing Argentine Tango in 1997. After learning the basics in NYC, he traveled to Buenos Aires where he has studied with many of the masters. Gerd teaches and shares his insights of tango regularly in Vermont and has taught workshops in NYC, Boston and throughout New England. He also organizes the annual ‘Moonlight in Vermont’ Tango Weekend in Brandon, VT.
Directions to Shelburne Town Hall:
Shelburne Town Hall is located on the west side of Route 7 just south of the intersection with Harbor Road, across from the triangular village green. It is a brick building with white columns, and a signboard in front. Just south of the building is a sign for the municipal offices and library, and a paved driveway leading to ample parking behind the building. Please park in this lot, and walk to the front entrance.

Argentine Tango Lessons & Guided Practica with Alicia Cruzado, Palais de Glace, 3419 Weeks Hill Road, Stowe, 1:30-6:30 p.m. All welcome, no partner needed.
1:30-2:30pm Beginner Class: fundamentals of the dance and musicality, with emphasis on foundational technical elements of this seductive dance.
2:30-3:30pm Intermediate / Advanced Class: The music of masters such as Pugliese, Tanturi, Color Tango, Calo, Di Sarli, Troilo and others is used to help the student learn to enjoy the freedom to create a wider variety of steps and figures.
3:30-6:30 Guided Practica; buffet and light drinks.
$15 each class / $10 practice / $20 class + practice + buffet and light drinks.
