A unique opportunity to experience the method Sergio Segura presents internationally at festivals and marathons. Explore how body awareness, physics, and energy management directly improve your dancing—and movement quality in daily life.

Molinetes (also called giros or turns) are one of the most essential—and challenging—structures in tango. This focused bootcamp will help you understand, execute, and integrate them with confidence.

· Molinete structure and mechanics

· How to lead and follow clearly · BioKinetics of the molinete (energies in motion) · Embrace adjustments during turns · Where and when to start a molinete · Musicality options · Open vs. close embrace · Common international structures · Integration of arrastres and sacadas (time permitting)

1-2:30 pm Leaders Boot Camp
            For leaders of any gender who want to improve their leading skills.
              This is a 1.5 hour workshop, followed by 1.5 hours of practica (Total of 3 hours)

            Pricing: $50 per person (includes Practica)
            Workshop needs 6 leaders minimum, maximum 12 participants.

We will cover leading techniques for 5 moves (ie: the cross,ochos, paradas (stops), the walk, etc). Participants can send suggested topics in advance to qct@queencitytango.org.
Sergio will pick the 5 most requested. You will be switching roles between all of the leaders to understand how it feels.

This workshop will include:

·       Body awareness for leaders

·       Leading energies in space

·       Leading strategies

·       Understanding concepts for base of support, timing and opportunities for leading.

·       Basic follower role tips
