Sergio Segura Workshops

Sergio Segura, Director of NYC Tango, will return to Queen City Tango! 

Sergio will teach two workshops for dancers with experience on Sunday, June 8 at 1:00 – 2:25 and 2:30 - 4:00. Each workshop will consist of 75-minute class time and 15 minutes practice time for $30 each or $55 if both are taken. The focus will be on the elements of advanced leading and following.  “Advanced” means superior quality, not just more steps or more complicated steps.

1.      Understanding Opportunities for Embellishments

Embellishments require coordination and synchronization in the couple within the music and the moves created by the leader, inviting the follower to dance within the leader’s dance.  How to create the opportunities for and execute compact, precise, and responsive embellishments.

2.      Advanced Leading and Following for Milonga

Using the ABC Method from the milonga tradition to enhance the look and the feel of your milonga experience.
